A Weird Variation of Chocolate Cake Mix
These days we are all very busy and don't have the opportunity to spend hours in the kitchen baking cakes.
When time is short and I need a delicious dessert cake, I
use a box of chocolate cake mix. I don't just make cakes, I like to give them
something special.
Cake Making Tips
1.
Invest in a battery tester. You can buy them at
most kitchen stores for under $6.
2.
Don't overbake the cake. Since the cake is still
baking on the baking sheet, I usually remove it from the oven 3-4 minutes
before the recommended time.
3.
Do not grease or flour the baking sheet unless
the recipe calls for it.
4.
Always let the cake cool before applying the
frosting.
Here is a simple recipe that can be made from a box of cake
mix.
Chocolate Surprise
1 chocolate cake mix
3 oz. cherry-flavored gelatin
1 tablespoon boiling water
1 tablespoon 7-Up Lemonade
1 can instant pudding mix (your favorite flavor)
8 oz. of chilled mousse
The chocolate cake should be prepared in accordance with the
directions on the packaging. Prick the cake with a fork after it has cooled.
Boiling water with cherry gelatin added, along with 7-Up. Pour over the cake.
Whisk together the pudding mixture and the milk. Add the cold cream and pour
over the cake.
Triple Chocolate
1 box of chocolate cake mix
1 3/4 teaspoons milk
1 box of instant chocolate pudding
2 eggs
12 ounces of chocolate chips
Mix all ingredients together and stir by hand for about 3
minutes to make a smooth batter. Pour into a greased and floured baking dish
and bake at 350° for 55 minutes, until tender. Do not brown. Let cool before
removing it from the pan.
