Papad Paratha Recipe

Papad Paratha

In this dish, the papad, which is often served as an appetizer or as a dessert, is stuffed within a paratha.

A paratha is packed with crushed masala papad to give it a crispy texture.

I believe that this is an extremely original and inventive paratha. It is crunchy and delicious.

Test it out for yourself.

For the Paratha dough

You will need: 2 cups of whole wheat flour, water to knead the dough, and salt to taste.

For the Filling

• Four papads

• One medium, finely chopped onion

• Two finely chopped green chilies

• One-half cup of finely chopped fresh coriander

• One teaspoon of chaat masala

• Salt to taste

Instructions

Regarding the Paratha

1. Place flour in a bowl.

2. Knead a soft dough, similar to how we make chapattis and other stuffed parathas.

3. Allow it to settle for approximately 10 to 15 minutes.

For the Filling

4. Fry the papads in oil

5. Pulverize them in a bowl.

6. Include the remaining items in this bowl.

7. Blend well.

8. Your paratha mixture is complete.

Now let's prepare the Paratha.

9. Form approximately eight balls from the dough.

10. Roll a ball of dough to a diameter of about 3 to 4 inches on a rolling pan.

11. Place a few tablespoons of the stuffing in the middle.

12. Bring the ends of the rolled paratha over the filling and properly seal it. Remove any surplus dough as necessary.

13. Form this into a ball once more.

14. Roll it to a size of around 6 inches, or the best size you can achieve.

15. Preheat a skillet.

16. Place the rolled paratha on the tava and cook on both sides over medium heat.

17. Once the frozen paratha is cooked, increase the temperature and butter both sides of the paratha before frying on both sides.

18. Remove it from the fire and serve.
